One year ago today, a little embryo that was only 8 cells, with a no-so-great chance of sticking around, was transferred into my uterus. Within a few days, she implanted and stayed there for about 9 months. It was a long, hard road to get here...from infertility to miscarriage back to infertility, then a horrendous pregnancy...but funny how those memories fade.
It is all worth it, and then some.
She aging quite well, don't you think?

Awww! She's managed to get even cuter! ;) Happy, um, implantiversary?!
Ha! High time for an Implantini to celebrate!
What a beautiful baby (then and now!)
She is just beautiful - seeing Brynn's embryo photo always makes me want to cry because I think the process is just so amazing. I am so happy that things worked out the way they did for you :-)
I am going through something similar and wanted to know if you would be willing to share what grade that embryo was? I'm hoping for the best and reading this entry gives me hope. Thanks for starting your new blog!
So cool...
(and so great that you are back in the blogosphere!)
Anonymous #1- My RE didn't give us a grade for our embryos...just basically that they weren't great. The one pictured was our best one, it was 8 cells but had a lot of fragmentation. The other one we transferred was only 6 cells and a ton of fragmentation. We were given less than a 30% chance with the 8 cell, and less than 5% with the 6 cell. Our RE was surprised that we ended up pregnant...and that she stuck around for the long haul! They say the ugliest embryos can make the prettiest babies...I have to agree :)
Best of luck with your cycle!!!
Oh wow! Definitely inspiring. I will find out soon enough if ours stuck. I know the grade but also that none of the others made it :(. I hope we are as lucky as you were. She's adorable!
