It might be because lately, she responds to seeing the camera with a Popeye-esque squint, like below.
Either a squint or just flat out closing her eyes all together.
As a result, I resorted to hiding her eyes in some pictures.
But I'm still waiting for that elusive smile. It's not elusive in her every day life, it's just when the camera is out she suddenly stops all smiles. Her big ass gummy smiles are the best, and if only I could capture them on film (er, hard drive? what do you say now in the digital age?) I would be such a content mama.
Eh, who am I kidding? She's still the cutest ever.
